Sociedad Mexicana de Ingeniería Biomédica (SOMIB)

The Mexican Society of Biomedical Engineering (SOMIB) is a non-profit civil association with professional, academic and scientific interests.

Is the first association (since 1978) of professionals in this discipline in Mexico and is currently the largest society that brings together the biomedical engineers in this country (340 members), it is also the group with the greatest tradition and recognition both nationally and internationally. www.somib.org.mx

SOMIB is an organization affiliated to the Regional Council of Biomedical Engineering for Latin America – CORAL, belongs to the Federation of Scientific Societies of Mexico – FeSoCiMe, and is supported by the National Council of Science and Technology – CONACYT

The National Congress of Biomedical Engineering (CNIB) is the most important and traditional event in Mexico for practitioners of biomedical engineering. The CNIB is an academic and scientific event for the intellectual development of the biomedical engineer and related professions. This event has grown rapidly since 2014, increasing the number of attendees to more than 2,000 www.cnib.somib.org.mx

The Mexican Journal of Biomedical Engineering – RMIB), is a publication oriented to the dissemination of works of the Mexican and international scientific community, whose lines of research are aligned to improve the quality of life through engineering techniques. The RMIB is a quarterly publication, in Spanish or English in plataform Open Journal System. www.rmib.mx
