Globally, as of 4:48 pm CEST, December 10, 2021, there have been 267,865,289 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 5,285,888 deaths, reported to WHO. As of December 9, 2021, a total of 8,158,815,265 vaccine doses have been administered.

WHO Recent Events/Reports/Training
2.1 Training for Medical Equipment!
WHO is developing training videos for technologies relevant to the COVID-19 response.
WHO is immensely grateful for the clinical and biomedical engineers, medical doctors, and respiratory therapists around the world that supported this project and filmed in their settings, including:
Botswana, Benin, Canada, China, India, Italy, Mexico, Nepal, Uganda, USA, … (look at the credits! 😊) with the ongoing coordination of Bill Gentles and Tobey Clark.
Please visit the WHO Training for Medical Equipment Website to find training videos on medical equipment related to oxygen delivery and monitoring devices:
Oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, pulse oximeters, high flow nasal cannula, BPAP, ICU ventilators, patient monitors.
These videos are part of a larger training tool that will be available in early 2022. But as the needs to have training are indispensable, in these difficult times, please find the first set here:
