1. Survey -10 years of the WHO compendium of innovative health technologies for low-resource settings, kindly submit before 11 September 2022.

Do you know the WHO Compendium of innovative technologies for low-resource settings? Have you used the technologies included in the Compendium?
We need your help to assess the impact of the Compendium during the last 10 years.
The survey below is part of a study that aims to assess the impact of the Compendium since its first edition in 2011. Please kindly take the time to tell us how you came to know the Compendium and how you used it over the years. Please share the link with colleagues and collaborators.
Note for innovators: If your technology was included in any edition to the WHO Compendium and you have NOT received an email with the link to the “Innovator survey”. Please contact techinnovation@who.int with the subject “Innovator survey”.

2. World Patient Safety Day 2022
17 September 2022
World Patient Safety Day is one of WHO’s global public health days. It was established in 2019 by the Seventy-second World Health Assembly through the adoption of resolution WHA72.6 – “Global action on patient safety”. Its objectives are to increase public awareness and engagement, enhance global understanding, and work towards global solidarity and action by Member States to enhance patient safety and reduce patient harm.
Objectives of World Patient Safety Day 2022:
1. RAISE global awareness of the high burden of medication-related harm due to medication errors and unsafe practices, and ADVOCATE urgent action to improve medication safety.
2. ENGAGE key stakeholders and partners in the efforts to prevent medication errors and reduce medication-related harm.
3. EMPOWER patients and families to be actively involved in the safe use of medication.
4. SCALE UP implementation of the WHO Global Patient Safety Challenge: Medication Without Harm.

Public consultations
3.1 Call for public consultation - Target Product Profile (TPP) for readers of rapid diagnostic tests (RDT readers) open until 16 September 2022.
The World Health Organization (WHO), with FIND, is now seeking feedback on this Target Product Profile (TPP) aimed at guiding the development of fit-for-purpose readers from experts in the industry, product developers, the scientific community, implementers, clinicians, and health programme personnel currently involved in the management and control of disease.
Comments can be submitted to EDLsecretariat@who.int using the following form.
Deadline for submission of comments: 16 September 2022.
3.2 Call for public consultation – Technical specifications for prequalification (PQ) of Blood pressure measurement devices (BPMD) open until 30 September 2022.
The World Health Organization (WHO), is seeking feedback on this technical specifications for prequalification of BPM devices. All details will be available in the Call website.
