CED Awards are an important way to honor those who have made exceptional contributions to a profession and to encourage all members of the profession to emulate these achievements. There are 3 categories awarded:
IFMBE – CED Award
This award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding regional or international contributions to the field of clinical engineering. This award looks for individuals who have demonstrated a significant impact on the clinical engineering field, have contributed significantly to the development of the profession of clinical engineering, and whose activities on national or international organizations for clinical engineering have been meritorious.
Clinical Engineering Teamwork Award
This award recognizes an individual or group that has fostered and facilitated cooperation between clinical technology managers and other members of the healthcare field, achieving outstanding impact in clinical engineering. This award looks for individuals or teams whose work has benefitted global clinical engineering, the healthcare community and patients through a combination of professional collaboration, high impact, and leading change.
Best Clinical Engineering Article Award
This award recognizes an individual or group of authors that stood out for writing the best clinical engineering article published in IFMBE journals and proceedings during the previous year. This award specifically seeks to encourage the development of clinical engineering as an academic discipline within biomedical engineering. This award looks for authors whose publications demonstrate scientific merit, relevance to the field and breadth of impact.
